Clear, consistent refund terms that apply across every event on Events For Palestine.

General Policy
Each organiser decides how refunds work for their event, choosing one of two settings — shown on every event page:
- Organiser-handled refunds: the organiser reviews refund requests in the cases set out on this page (event cancelled, postponed or materially changed).
- No refunds: refund requests aren't reviewed for that event.
In all cases, whichever setting the organiser chose: a cancelled event is refunded automatically, and Events For Palestine reserves the right to execute a refund it deems justified.
Tickets are generally non-refundable. Where refunds apply, they are only issued for a genuine issue with the event — cancelled, postponed, or materially changed.
Tickets are transferable — if you can no longer attend, you can pass your ticket to someone else yourself. See Transferring Your Ticket below.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
Event cancelled: you receive a full refund — your ticket price and the Events For Palestine booking fee. Only Stripe's payment-processing fee is non-recoverable and is not included.
Event postponed or materially changed: your ticket remains valid for the new date. If the change means you can't attend, request a refund from My Tickets (see below).
Transfers: tickets are transferable — you can give yours to a friend or family member yourself, without asking anyone. See Transferring Your Ticket below.
How to Request a Refund
You request a refund straight from your account — no need to hunt down anyone's contact details:
- Go to My Tickets and find the booking.
- Tap Refund, choose a reason and add any detail, then send your request.
- The organiser reviews it and approves or declines. For events marked "No refunds", the request goes to Events For Palestine instead and is only approved on genuine grounds (cancelled, postponed or materially changed).
- You're emailed the decision. If approved, the refund is returned to your original payment method, typically within 7 working days.
You can track the request's status right on the booking in My Tickets. Booked as a guest without an account? Use the escalation route below.
Escalations: if your request wasn't handled, or you believe it wasn't handled fairly, contact Events For Palestine through our Contact & Help Centre with the subject "Refunds & Cancellations" and your booking reference — we'll step in and review it.
Approved refunds outside of a cancellation return your ticket price; the Events For Palestine booking fee and Stripe's payment-processing fee are non-refundable. A cancelled event is always refunded in full (booking fee included), less only the processing fee.
Transferring Your Ticket
Can't make it? You don't need anyone's permission to pass your ticket on — entry is by the QR code on the ticket, so whoever holds it gets in. To transfer it:
- Send the ticket to the new attendee — forward your confirmation email with the ticket PDF attached, or send them the PDF directly (WhatsApp, email, however you like).
- Don't use your copy afterwards. Each ticket's QR code admits one person, once — if you scan in first, the person you gave it to will be turned away.
- Update the name on the ticket so the organiser's door list matches on the day: go to My Tickets → View Invoice → Edit attendee names, change the name to the new attendee and save.
- Booked several tickets? Each ticket in the PDF has its own QR code, so you can send different tickets to different people — and name each attendee the same way.
Only share your ticket with the person actually attending — anyone with the QR code can use it, and the first scan wins.
Fees on Refunds
A booking is made up of the ticket price, the Events For Palestine booking fee, and the payment-processing fee charged by Stripe. What's returned depends on why the refund is issued:
- Event cancelled: a full refund of your ticket price and the Events For Palestine booking fee. Only the payment-processing fee — which Stripe keeps on the original transaction — is non-recoverable.
- Any other approved refund: your ticket price is returned. The Events For Palestine booking fee and the payment-processing fee are non-refundable, in line with standard ticketing practice.
The payment-processing fee is charged by Stripe on the original transaction and is never returned by the card networks, so it can't be included in any refund.
Still have questions?
To request a refund, use the Refund button on your booking in My Tickets — it goes straight to the organiser (or to us for no-refunds events). If it isn't handled or you need to escalate, our support team is here; reference your booking when you get in touch.
